Jakarta, June 20, 2025 – Get ready, Indonesia! After an incredible run in

Malaysia—where it captured hearts and dominated box office charts—Ejen Ali The

Movie 2: Misi Satria, the long-awaited sequel to the hit animated film, is officially

coming to Indonesian cinemas starting June 27, 2025!

Directed by Usamah Zaid Yasin and brought to you by Primeworks Studios and

WAU Animation, this electrifying adventure brings back all the action, drama, and

emotional moments that have made Ejen Ali one of the most beloved animated

franchises in Southeast Asia.

Indonesian fans have been patiently (and loudly!) waiting for this release ever since

the teaser dropped. The excitement has been incredible, and now the wait is finally

over.

In this second cinematic outing, young agent Ejen Ali (voiced by Ida Rahayu Yusoff)

faces his toughest enemy yet—Neonimus (voiced by Qayyim Zamani)—as he races

against time to save the futuristic city of Cyberaya from total annihilation.

Audiences will be immersed in the world of Project Satria, MATA’s latest

top-secret initiative that pushes Ali to master four core spy disciplines: Tekno

(technology), Neuro (strategy), Kombat (martial arts), and Inviso

(stealth). Armed with a powerful new suit and his signature determination, Ali

must rise above his doubts, overcome new obstacles, and trust the strength of his

team.

But the mission is anything but straightforward. With his friendship with Alicia

(voiced by Yati Maslini Omar) tested like never before, and shocking truths revealed

by Rizwan (voiced by Azman Zulkiply), Ali must confront the ghosts of the past and

the shadows of betrayal—both inside and outside Cyberaya.

In Malaysia, Ejen Ali The Movie 2 broke records and won over critics and families

alike, quickly climbing to become one of the highest-grossing animated films in

Southeast Asia. Fans lined up in droves, some even returning for multiple

viewings. The film’s emotional depth, visual brilliance, and cultural richness struck a

deep chord with local audiences.

And it wasn’t just Malaysians watching—Indonesian fans have been tagging,

tweeting, and messaging the creators non-stop asking, “Kapan Ejen Ali tayang di

Indonesia?!” That passion and love from Indonesian fans played a huge role in

bringing this release to life.

“This film is very close to our hearts. We poured every ounce of passion and

dedication into making it not just a sequel, but a meaningful experience – crafted

especially for our fans inMalaysia and our larger Southeast Asian family,” shared

Usamah Zaid Yasin, Director of Ejen Ali The Movie 2 and CEO of WAU Animation.

“Bringing Misi Satria to Indonesia feels like a full-circle moment. Since the very

first film, the love and support from Indonesian fans have been overwhelming. This

release is our heartfelt way of saying thank you. We know many have been waiting

patiently since before the pandemic, and their unwavering loyalty means the world

to us. We truly hope this film delivers the laughs, the tears, and the thrill they’ve

been hoping for all these years.”

Adding an extra layer of emotional power to the film is the stirring official

soundtrack, “Teman Sejati” by Indonesia’s iconic band NIDJI. A powerful anthem

about friendship and loyalty, the song beautifully echoes the themes of Ejen Ali’s

journey—courage, sacrifice, and unity.

Sharing their excitement, NIDJI expressed, “Being part of Ejen Ali The Movie 2 has

been a truly special experience for us. We’ve always believed in the power of

animation to move people, and to be invited into Ejen Ali’s world was an honour we

didn’t take lightly.”

“Writing and performing Teman Sejati was a heartfelt journey—we wanted every

lyric and every note to reflect the spirit of courage, friendship, and adventure that

fans have come to love. As fellow Southeast Asians, this collaboration felt like

coming home. We can’t wait to see how Indonesian audiences will connect with the

song and the film when it finally hits the big screen.”

The movie also proudly features animation work from Dipadira Animation

Studios, one of Indonesia’s own creative forces, strengthening the collaborative

spirit between our nations in producing world-class entertainment.

“Ejen Ali has grown into something bigger than just a character—it’s become a

movement that represents the strength of Southeast Asian storytelling,” said Puan

Nini Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Media Prima Television Networks and

Primeworks Studios.

“We’re incredibly proud to finally bring Ejen Ali The Movie 2 to cinemas in

Indonesia, a country that has shown nothing but love and enthusiasm for the

franchise. The overwhelming success of the film in Malaysia is a testament to the

power of stories told from the heart, by Southeast Asians for Southeast Asians.

When we create with authenticity and purpose, those stories resonate far beyond our borders.”

“Misi Satria is our way of continuing that journey—one that we hope will entertain,

inspire, and bring families together across the region. We look forward to

deepening this cultural connection with our Indonesian audience through

meaningful storytelling and collaboration.”
